JUST IN: Diego Maradona is dead at 60

Argentine football legend, Diego Maradona has passed away at the age of 60 today, November 25, 2020, local media reports.

Argentine newspaper Clarin reports that the former Argentine coach reportedly died after suffering cardiac arrest in his home in Tigre.

Recall that Maradona was recently hospitalised after he had emergency surgery for a subdural haematoma, a blood clot on the brain.

He was discharged from the hospital in his home town after having successful surgery on November 12.

Also, popular international sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

“Diego Armando Maradona has passed away. Terrible news. No words. Unbelievable. RIP, Dios,” he tweeted.

Maradona won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 and became notorious for his ‘Hand of God’ goal against England.

The Argentinian won two Serie A titles with Italian side Napoli as well as a Copa del Rey with Barcelona.
