The leadership crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party took a new twist on Monday when a High Court in Rivers State restrained Uche Secondus from continuing as ntional chairman.

Justice O. Gbasam gave the ruling in Degema local government area of the State on Monday.

Gbasam also approved the suspension of Secondus as a member of the party pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.

The order followed a complaint brought before the court by some aggrieved members of the party.
