The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday afternoon met with Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom, at the State House, Abuja.
Speaking to State House Correspondents after the meeting, Governor Ortom disclosed that he was delighted with the president’s reaction to the development, adding they shared ideas on how to manage the crisis trailing the development.
Recall that the governor recently survived an alleged attempt on his life when unknown gunmen attacked him in Makurdi.
Meanwhile, Police authorities have announced the arrest of three Jukun fishermen in connection with last Saturday’s attack on Ortom.
Ortom’s Security Adviser, Col. Paul Hemba, confirmed the arrest while conducting newsmen round the scene of the attack on Tuesday.
Hemba stated the police team found the fishermen close to the scene of the attack and are being investigated.
