Bandits on Thursday afternoon invaded the Federal Government Girls College in Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, where they abducted about 30 female students and three teachers.
Daily Trust reported that the bandits, who were dressed in police mufti, rode into the school premises on motorcycles from the neighbouring Rijau forest.
Security sources said they overpowered the mobile policemen guarding the school and kidnapped at least 30 students and three teachers from the school.
“They pointed a gun at the school guards and asked them for the girls’ hostels.
“Before you know what was happening the bandits invaded the school and started abducting female students.”
