A week after his defection from Action Democratic Party, former Speaker of House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole and erstwhile Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode have been appointed to serve on the 61-man contact/strategy committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
This was disclosed in a statement by the National Secretary of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, John Akpan Udoehede on Monday.
The 61-member Contact/Strategy Committee is chaired by Jigawa Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar while former gubernatorial candidate, Chief Ikechi Emenike was appointed as the secretary.
According to the scribe, the committee formation is part of ongoing efforts by the CECPC to rebuild and reposition the party.
The new committee members comprised Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege; Governors Yahaya Bello, Babagana Zulum, Inuwa Yahaya, Abdullahi Sule, Aminu Masari, Simon Lalong, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, Hope Uzodinma, David Umahi, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Other are Aliyu Wammako, Danjuma Goje, Kashim Shettima, Ibikunle Amosun, Mohammed Jibrilla, Timipre Sylva, Rauf Aregbesola, Chris Ngige, George Akume, Akinwunmi Ambode, Adamu Aliero, Gbenga Daniel, Sullivan Chime, Iyiola Omisore, Mohammed Abubakar, Aliyu Shinkafi, Saidu Dakingari.
Also included are Nuhu Ribadu, Abubakar Malami, Sadiya Farouq, Adamu Adamu, Dimeji Bankole, Yakubu Dogara, Ganiyu Solomon, Julius Ali Ucha, Margaret Okadigbo, Jibrin Wowo, Anthony Oduma Agbo, Ajayi Boroffice, Sani Musa Khairat Gwadabe, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha
