JUST IN: Adeyemo officially becomes first-ever Nigerian-American US deputy secretary of treasury
Nigerian-born Wale Adeyemo has been officially appointed as the first-ever Nigerian American Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury.
The appointment was confirmed by the Chairman of the Nigerians on Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Speaking on her official account on Monday, Dabiri-Erewa congratulated Adeyemo on making history.
She tweeted: “It’s official! Wale Adeyemo becomes the first-ever Nigerian American Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury, in the history of the country!! Congrats to Wale.”
