No fewer than 70 prison inmates will breathe the air of freedom on Thursday, following the amnesty granted to them by the Federal Government.
The inmates who are serving various terms for their crimes against the society would be processed and released today.
Their release was part of measures to decongest the prison facilities on account of the COVID-19 disease.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, disclosed this at an ongoing press conference holding at the Nigeria Correctional Service headquarters, Abuja.
