Despite police warning hundreds of youths trooped out in Ibadan the Oyo State Capital on Saturday to stage protest against the alleged bad governance of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

They gathered at Mokola armed with banners and Nigerian flags and moved afterwards towards the bridge where another group of protesters was already waiting to join them, according to The PUNCH.

The first group and the second merged under the bridge where heavily armed policemen, soldiers, NIgeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were stationed.

The protesters sang and and chanted ‘Buhari must go’ in the presence of the security men for some minutes before they turned and moved towards Sango.

The youth took over one of the lanes on Mokola-Sango Road and two army patrol vans loaded with armed soldiers and heading toward Sango were forced to take the other lane left for vehicular traffic.

There have been no attack or hijack of the protest by hoodlums until around 11am.
