Popular Nigerian life coach, Solomon Buchi, has advised women not to pressure their partners after seeing the lavish wedding of Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.

In a post shared on his social media page, Buchi cautioned women against comparing their love stories or wedding dreams with those of celebrities, saying that not everyone can afford such grand events.

“As you celebrate Priscilla and Juma’s wedding, I hope you don’t burden someone’s son with obsessing and wanting that kind of wedding,” he wrote. “I hope you only admire it from afar but are wise enough to know that you can’t have it that big and grand.”

He added, “Some will have a parlour wedding, some will have a fairly decent wedding, some will wear two outfits, and others will wear 20 outfits, but let everyone be wise enough to cut their coat according to their cloth.”

Priscilla, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, and her husband, Juma Jux, recently held a high-profile wedding that became the talk of social media in Nigeria and Tanzania.

The traditional wedding took place at Five Palms, Oniru, Lagos, and featured a blend of Nigerian and Tanzanian culture. Wedding photos even appeared at Times Square in New York, bringing pride to fans and family.

The event was extremely expensive. Observers estimated that decorations alone cost between ₦20 million and ₦30 million. Aso ebi prices also shocked many — male guests paid ₦380,000 for 10 yards of fabric and ₦200,000 for five yards. Female guests paid ₦250,000 for a full set and ₦200,000 for a mix of aso ebi and silk.

Influencer, Papaya Ex, also revealed that her outfit for the wedding cost her around ₦4.5 million.

While many people praised the beauty and luxury of the wedding, Solomon Buchi reminded his followers that love and marriage are not about competition.

“Don’t let social media pressure you,” he warned.
