Jose Peseiro arrives Uyo for World Cup qualifier

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has arrived in Uyo ahead of his team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Likuena of Lesotho.
Peseiro was accompanied by his three foreign assistants, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo, and was received at the Victor Attah International Airport by Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee, Prince Bonny Nyong.
The Super Eagles will begin preparations for the game on Monday and will be joined by 23 players invited to camp for the game and the matchday two fixture with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The three-time African champions will entertain Leslie Notsi’s Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Thursday, November 16th.
The Super Eagles will then face Zimbabwe three days later at the Huye Stadium, Butare.
