One Jordanian has tested positive for the coronavirus. Almost 300 have been put in quarantine, 219 of whom were released after testing negative for the virus.
The ban on Germany, France, and Spain will go into effect starting on Monday, Jaber told a news conference.
The country’s border crossings with Israel and Iraq will also be closed to passengers, though the transport of goods will still be allowed.
Jordan also banned ferry travel to and from Egypt and reduced flights by 50 percent, only allowing necessary travel, Jaber added.
