John Singleton: Hollywood stars pay tribute to Boyz N The Hood director

Hollywood celebrities and notable personalities from all walks of life have paid loving tributes to John Singleton who died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.

Singleton was an American film director, screenwriter, and producer best known for directing Boyz n the Hood.

The Oscar-nominated director filmmaker “passed away peacefully” after being removed from life support in Los Angeles, his family confirmed.

The 51-year-old filmmaker had been in intensive care following a stroke last week.

Hollywood stars like Janet Jackson, Ice Cube, Quincy Jones, Kimora Lee Simmons, Taraji P. Henson, amongst others said he contributed a great deal to their booming careers.
