Detectives in the UK have arrested four men, in their 20s, over their alleged role in the murder of  Nigerian teenager, John Ogunjobi.

16-year-old Ogunjobi was stabbed with knives in South London on 5 November 2018.

He died from the injuries, right in front of his parents. Witnesses described Ogunjobi’s mom screams as heart-wrenching.

However, reports from the UK say the police have made some arrests and have brought four men, aged 22, 20, 21 and 23, into custody at south London police stations for questioning.

Ogunjobi’s death was just one of five fatal stabbings in Lawless London in the week beginning October 31.

Cops were initially called to Greenleaf Close, Tulse Hill, shortly before 11pm on the day of the attack, finding the teenager collapsed in the street with stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also asked for anyone who may have captured footage or images of the incident on their mobile phone to get in contact.

A post-mortem examination held on Thursday, 8 November, at Greenwich Mortuary gave the cause of death as a stab wound.

An investigation is underway by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Richard Vandenbergh.

DCI Vandenbergh said:

“I am appealing to anyone who has information that could assist this investigation to come forward and speak to police.

“We believe the victim was attacked by a number of suspects and the altercation would have undoubtedly drawn the attention of those who were in the vicinity.

“Did you see or hear anything? If so, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, please call – your information could prove to be crucial.”
