Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi is on the verge of joining the ranks of Italian Serie C side Vis Pesaro. 

The former Super Eagles player, who represented Nigeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, is presently without a club as a free agent.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Vis Pesaro is actively pursuing the signing of Joel Obi in the ongoing transfer window. 

The Serie C outfit is hopeful that Obi’s addition to the squad will boost their chances of avoiding relegation.

At 32 years old, Joel Obi brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for renowned Italian clubs such as Inter Milan, Parma, Torino, Chievo Verona, Salernitana, and Reginna. Additionally, he had a stint in the Turkish Super Lig with Alanyaspor.
