Jenny’s Glow: Abuja cosmetic shop denies alleged NAFDAC closure
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has reportedly sealed the office of a popular skincare store, Jenny’s Glow, in Abuja over the nonregistration of products and the owner using a fake registration number to sell them.
The action by NAFDAC came after a video circulated online showing agency officials allegedly sealing the office of Jenny’s Glow in Abuja. The video also claimed that the owner was arrested for selling fake products that damaged the skin of some customers.
However, Igbinoba Jennifer denied the allegations and said that her office was not sealed and that she was not arrested.
She posted her NAFDAC registration certificate on Instagram and said that some of her products have been approved for years while others are pending approval.
“The Abuja store was not sealed..its just some of the product were put on hold on the shelves pending their approval”
“Some of our products, including “Whitening lotion , French scrub , black soap etc “ have already been approved for years now.”
“These other products are pending for approval…it’s takes time” she said
Jenny’s Glow has recently been involved in a controversy after a lady named Amaka Duru, also known as Amaka Gurl, accused the owner of selling fake products that ruined her skin. The police allegedly arrested Amaka for calling out Igbinoba on TikTok.
More users of Jenny’s Glow products also complained about their negative experiences with the brand.
