Tokyo 2020: Jamaica’s Thompson-Herah wins Women’s 100m, sets new Olympic record
Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah has won the women’s 100m race with a record-breaking time at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Thompson-Herah finished with a new Olympic record of 10.61, beating her fellow Jamaican sprinters S. Fraser-Pryce who took silver (10.74) and S. Jackson bronze (10.76).
Africa’s only representativein the final, M. Ta Lou of Côte d’Ivoire came fouth afrer finishing with a 10.91 race time.
