Iyabo Ojo’s Lagos office catches fire

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her relief and gratitude after a fire gutted her office on Tuesday evening in Lagos.

In a post on her Instagram page, the 47-year-old said the incident happened around 7pm on July 8, 2025. She also posted a short video showing burnt furniture, broken items, and smoke-damaged walls.

“This just happened today the 8th of July 2025 around 7pm. My office building caught fire,” she wrote.

She thanked the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for acting quickly to stop the fire from spreading further.

“Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully no lives were lost,” she added.

Iyabo described the incident as a test of faith and said, “The devil tested us today, but God said no. With God on my side we will bounce back bigger and better.”

She did not mention the cause of the fire or the full extent of the damage.

Since her post, several celebrities have shown support and sent kind messages to the actress.

Comedian Princess wrote, “What is coming is better than what is lost. No evil will befall you or your staff. God is worthy to be praised.”

Actress Gloria Young said, “Thank God no lives were lost. You will definitely bounce back.”

Veteran actor Yinka Quadri added, “All glory be to God, just take heart.”

Toyin Adewale wrote, “Jesuuuuu so sorry sis, the Almighty God will come through for you.”

Mercy Aigbe, who also had a fire incident in her home last December, simply wrote, “Omg! So sorry.”
