An aircraft belonging to Overland Airways on Friday caught fire at one of the General Aviation Terminal hangars at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
WuzupNaija gathered that the fire started at about 10:30 am when a plane, which was being serviced at the tarmac, suddenly went up in flames while it was still connected to the Group Ground Power Unit of the local airport.
It was gathered that there was an explosion as the aircraft burned, sending splinters all over the airport.

No one has been reported hurt.
“It’s big fire,” a witness said.
“Half of the OverlandAirwayss plane is burnt, while some chartered aircraft being repaired were also torched.”
Fire-fighters are currently trying to put out the fire.
As of the time of filing this report, the corporate affairs unit of the Overland Airways has not issued any statement concerning the fire incident.
