Arsenal player, Alex Iwobi has come under severe attack for covering his nose following a stand-off with Rennes defender, Hamari Traore during an Europa League match on Thursday.
Iwobi appeared to kick out at Traore before the two exchanged words from close range in injury time of Arsenal’s match against French side, Rennes.
The Nigerian international then took a few steps backwards and held his nose, appearing to tell the Malian player his breath stinks, before he was dragged away from Traore by team mate, Kolasinac.
Social media users across the world have slammed the Nigerian international as disrespectful, rude and disgusting over the act.

#Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and filthy. Forget the banter & silly excuses you want to suggest.
Race and colour irrelevant…embarrassingly unacceptable.#Mali’s Hamari Traore is one of the coolest, respectful responsible players in Ligue 1.✊?
