The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, has given assurance to motorists and consumers that its members are committed to ensuring the availability of petrol during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The newly elected president, Alhaji Abubakar Migandi Garima, conveyed this commitment in Abuja after taking over from Mr. Chinedu Okoronkwo.
Garima emphasized collaboration with NNPC Limited to ensure ample supply of petroleum products, stating, “We will contact the Group Chief Executive of NNPC to make sure that independent marketers are supplied with all the petroleum products to ensure that we wet all the filling stations.”
Highlighting the importance of unity among marketers, Garima underscored the new national executives’ dedication to creating a conducive environment for the growth of the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
The Chairman of IPMAN’s Board of Trustees, Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadri, praised the successful election and peaceful leadership transition, emphasizing the critical role of unity in fostering business growth, particularly for the group with the largest number of petrol stations nationwide.
The newly elected national executive members of IPMAN include Alhaji Hammed Fashola as National Vice President, Hon James Terlumun Tor as National Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu as Assistant National Secretary, Alhaji Umar Babakano Aliyu as National Treasurer, Chief Ben Odjugo as National Organizing Secretary, Barrister Nnanna Obasi Oru as National Legal Adviser, Okanlawon Olanrewaju as National Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Musa Maikifi, Jr as National Financial Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Adamu as National Auditor, and Chief Alicho Otti as National Chief Whip.
