Hundreds of women have stormed the streets of Ondo State to protest the spate of insecurity on Saturday.
Triggered by the recent kidnappings, killings, amongst others, The PUNCH reported that the women filed out across four local government areas of the state, half-naked.
The women could be seen holding brooms, chanting various solidarity songs in Oka Akoko, Akungba Akoko and some other areas in Akoko town.
The protesters called on the state government and security agents to rescue residents from kidnappings and killings.
Security in the state has become a major concern after some teachers were recently abducted by bandits in Auga Akoko.
Just last week, a police officer was killed by unknown gunmen at Oka Akoko while some suspected armed robbers attacked 17 travellers on Ifira Akoko-Isua Akoko road, among others.
