Influencers not using products they sell is criminal, Ugezu tells FG
Nollywood actor, Ugezu J. Ugezu, has described influencers who don’t use products they sell as criminals.
In an Instagram post on Friday, he stated that it is criminal for anyone to boldly influence people to use something they don’t use.
Beckoning on the federal government to make it a criminal offense, Ugezu stated that bringing them to book would be the first step to healing Nigeria.
“One of the many ways to start healing our land;
“Let it be made a criminal offense for influencers to boldly influence people to use what they are not using
“This, in my considered view, will checkmate many things
He continued by saying; “If my suggestion is not valid to you, suggest yours.”
Reacting to his post, @thekanyinsola said; “Criminal is a lot but yup!! How can you do liposuction and be selling slimming tea and waist trainer.. now I’m drowning in tasteless tea and I can’t breath but waist still ain’t snatched?? 😢
@iammrcinema said; “I still don’t know what to say… Organic cream influencers be using filters to advertise 😂😂😂😂😂
@_kayat__ said; “There is one that has influenced for like 3 body enhancement cream stating that each one was d one that worked for her.
Mercy was selling cream, before we knew it she started influencing another cream . The bbn gals that have done liposuction are the ones influencing waist trainers. The list is endless. Believe social media at your own risk!!
@flora_flawa_ said; “He’s absolutely right cos most of them influence what they don’t use…..thereby leading their fans into disappointment when they purchase the product.
@urhoboworldwide_ said; “I support this one, because majority of their followers believe so much on what they influence, thinking they use it”
