A Nigerian national has been arrested in India over his role in a drug peddling ring.
Agala Alumah Friday, 30, from Enugu State was arrested alongside two other persons. Indian authorities were said to have found 75 grams of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), 30 grams of Charas, one gram Heroin, 40 grams Ganja and one car in their possession.
“On credible information, Central Zone Task Force team along with Narayanaguda Police apprehended Agala Alumah Friday (30) of Eunugu State, Nigeria, Abid Nazir (27) of Goa and a native of J& K and Yash Sunkara (19) of Bagh Amberpet, Hyderabad when they were trying to sell the drugs to the needy customers at Madhushala Bar & Restaurant, Hyderguda here,” Indian authorities said.
“The accused Yash Sunkara is pursuing Graduation in BBA from St Pauls Degree college, Himayathnagar. During his visit to Goa last year his friend asked him to bring LSD from one drug peddler called Abid Nazir, a resident of Goa and a native of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Likewise he made friendship with him and started business. Yash Sunkara used to purchase one LSD drug stamp for Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 in Goa and sell them to his friends for Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 per stamp to needy students/customers.”
