The Wife of Senior Pastor of House on the Rock church, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin’s recent teaching on indecent dressing among ladies has sparked mixed reactions among social media users.
In the viral video which surfaced on Twitter, Ifeanyi was seen chastising ladies who dress indecently to church in her sermon during the church’s service.
She sternly told ladies who dress indecently to church that the house of God is a place of worship and they are expected to dress in a certain way that portrays they are going to a ‘solemn place’.

In the footage, she said:
“I don’t know how people will wake up Sunday morning and decide they want to wear a tight to the house of God. Are you going to the night club?
“You will not wear that if you are going for a job interview, because there is a certain decorum that is expected.
“May I educate you perhaps you’re not aware, the house of God is a solemn place, a place we come for worship. The Bible says ‘by their fruit we shall know them’,
“You may have come in as a battered prostitute and literally naked, but if you are sitting under the word for goodness sake take a look at the person on your right or left the word has bore fruit in them so we expect the same fruit in you.”
Adefarasin wondered why ladies put on dress they are not comfortable with when they are in public.
“Why will you wear something that when you’re going up the stairs you have to be covering everything?” She asked
The viral video has evoked mixed reactions among Nigerians on Twitter.
While some were of the opinion that she has spoken the truth, others opined that Pastor Ifeanyi’s words were too harsh.

Can’t even express in words how I feel about that pastor Ifeanyi video. I’m sad. Imagine being a young woman trying to figure your faith walk out. Meanwhile HOTR literally built their brand off the backs of that same “sassy” look and feel of their members o. SMH.

I just watched the videos of Pastor Ifeanyi and I can’t see one thing wrong in the message. The problem is still that adults (who should act like one) do not like being reprimanded or told to act right. If you cannot dress appropriately to church, perhaps stay at home.

The reason youths are bashing “Pastor Ifeanyi” is not really because of what she said, its because the church these days don’t preach to address current issues, very few preachers address current issues with the church. Why others are concern about offering and tithes
