Senate President Godswill Akpabio has denied rumours that he has multiple girlfriends or is involved in extramarital affairs.
Addressing the speculation, Akpabio stated, “In my tradition, we marry only one wife. They listed so many wives on social media. At the end, it will look as if the Senate president has so many wives, but I’m reporting to my colleagues that I have only one (wife), and I’m satisfied with that one.”
He also highlighted his respect for women and his commitment to his wife, Ekaette.
The denial comes amid ongoing speculation and social media buzz about Akpabio’s personal life.
Actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has also denied any involvement in an alleged affair with Akpabio and has taken legal action against a blog that published these claims.
Akpabio is married to Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, and they have four daughters and a son together.
