Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has shared her thoughts on Brazilian Butt Lift procedures, revealing that while she admires the results, she is not brave enough to undergo the surgery herself.

Speaking on The Morayo Show hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the award-winning actress said she appreciates well-done cosmetic enhancements but cautioned against excess.

“I must say, I love to see beautiful women with beautiful bodies. I actually like it. I am not talking about the excess ones but the normal ones,” Akindele said. “I want to do it, but I don’t have the mind.”

While expressing her admiration for the aesthetic appeal of BBL, she urged anyone considering the procedure to carefully weigh the risks involved.

“I am not against it. If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead, but be careful,” she added.

Her comments come at a time when BBL surgeries have become a major topic of discussion in the entertainment and influencer space, where the pursuit of a particular body ideal often collides with safety concerns and public health warnings.

The procedure has drawn renewed scrutiny following the death of a prominent social media influencer from complications related to a BBL.

Elena Jessica Nkwopara, a Nigerian socialite popularly known as Elena, passed away after undergoing a second corrective BBL procedure in Lagos.

Reports indicated she experienced serious difficulties during or shortly after the treatment, having earlier encountered complications from a previous BBL surgery.
