Daniel Regha, a Twitter advisor known for his controversial statements, clarified his stance on social media, asserting that he is not a troll but someone who provides constructive criticism backed by facts in a recent interview on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Regha emphasized that he doesn’t engage in randomly attacking people and screaming abuses in comment sections. Instead, he expresses his views in response to statements or actions by well-known personalities and influencers.
“I’m not a troll. Definitely not. I do not come to people’s comment sections or tweet at them, saying, ‘Oh, you’re a fool, this person is bigger than this person. This person is crazy,” clarified Regha.
He further highlighted that he includes the words “No offence, no shades” in his posts to ensure that his opinions are not perceived as coming from a place of hate. Regha asserted that most of his opinions are supported by facts.
“Those are personal opinions and those are backed up with facts… my tweets are always vindicated later on,” he stated.
Regha also addressed the threats he receives due to his work. He revealed that there have been threats to shoot him in certain regions of the country like Benin, Lagos, and Ibadan. Despite feeling uncomfortable at times, he expressed his readiness to defend himself.
In the interview, Regha also criticized another social media critic, Very Dark Man (VDM), stating that VDM doesn’t stand for anything and engages in unhealthy practices like recording videos to fight and berate those with different beliefs.
“We are not the same… I speak from an uncompromised point of view. I do not need people to pay me attention or do something for me, like say something.
“I do not know if VDM stands for anything in particular because I think there was a time he said there were some celebrities he couldn’t call out based on certain things. I do not know why.
“I do not like it when people say he is like Blackman or Blackman is like him. He’s doing his thing, and I’m doing mine.”
“But the difference between him and me, I think, is that he is taking the influencing thing as a full-time job,” Regha stated.
