Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Ayra Starr, has revealed that she now feels fully confident expressing her sensuality through her music, marking a new chapter in her artistic journey.
In an interview, the Rush crooner disclosed that her forthcoming releases will showcase a matured version of herself—one that embraces confidence, freedom, and self-love.
“I am finding a new approach where I don’t feel cringe talking about how sexy I am, but now I am very comfortable in my skin. Most of the music coming out this year is going to be grown confidence, feel good. We’re just having fun with the song,” she said.
Ayra Starr, who rose to prominence in 2021 with her self-titled debut EP under Mavin Records, has previously spoken about the challenges of managing fame as a teenager. Those early experiences, she noted, were often accompanied by self-doubt and insecurity.
Now, as a Grammy-nominated artist, she says she has come into her own—confidently embracing her femininity and voice on the international stage.
