2021 Big Brother Naija housemate, Adeoluwa Okusaga, popularly known as Saga has opened up on some of the hitches he has had to face in life especially with his father whom he believes was disappointed in him.
According to Saga, his father’s desire for him is to be an engineer but art was his zeal.
He made this statement yesterday while discussing it with his fellow housemates in the house.
Going into the university and studying engineering, he graduated with a second class lower which made him a disappointment to his dad considering his dad is a banker, an Engineer, and an inventor.
“I graduated with a second class lower but I was a disappointment to my dad. My dad wanted me to be the engineer that he wasn’t. He is a banker but an Engineer and an inventor.
“He wanted to take up that role and cajoled me into studying engineering but I like arts. I almost threw my certificates away because my dad talked down on me. This made me fall in love with drawing. I’m here for my mum because she loves arts,” he said.
Port Harcourt-based Saga was among the eleven housemates to grace the Big Brother Naija show yesterday, July 24th, 2020.
28-year-old Saga is an offshore engineer, though he has found a new passion for drawing and has become celebrated for his hyper-realistic portraits.
He decided to turn his efforts to practicing art after being amazed that his work could draw powerful reactions from people.
The lowest point in his life was being informed that his mother – who he describes as his best friend – passed away.
