Two-time heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has threatened to quit if his next opponent, Anthony Joshua, goes beyond three rounds.
The British boxer challenged his Nigerian-British opponent in rant videos uploaded on his verified Twitter account on Friday ahead of their anticipated world undisputed heavyweight title fight.
WuzupNigeria reported that the boxers reached an agreement to stage a two-fight deal ahead of the most anticipated blockbuster bout last month.
However, the much-expected fight gained momentum on Friday when Fury who holds the WBC and Ring magazine titles after defeating Deontay Wilder, vowed to knock out the two-time unified world heavyweight champion, AJ, in two/three rounds.
Fury also threatened AJ who holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles since 2019 that he would smash his face in two.
“While I’m on a rant I may as well call out one more person, a big useless dosser, not a real fighting man, a hike job body build cross-fit big ugly shit house, that’s Anthony Joshua.
“Aj if you’re out there, let’s make this fight happen you big shit house born dosser, I’m gonna smash your face in two and there’s not one thing you can do about it. Prove me wrong sucker, prove me wrong.
“Just been thinking, another message for AJ, if you go past three rounds with me, I’ll quit in the corner. Cos that’s how confident I’m taking you, cold out in the first two-three rounds, out, out like a light switch.”
Meanwhile, Sky Sports on Friday reported that the fight is a done deal despite recent doubts being raised by Fury’s promoter Bob Arum.
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, told Sky Sports: “We last had communication on Friday of last week and Thursday. He said in the interview, we haven’t spoken for two weeks, yet five days ago he was telling the world it was a done deal.
“I think he’s trying to put pressure on. We’re a couple of days later than expected. The situation is still the same.
“We have an offer in writing from a site, the same site that we’ve dealt with before. The same people we’ve dealt with before. We know all about them. This is a done deal from that site.”
