White Barry, also known as White Olasunkanmi Barry, and widely recognized as the “Son of the Prophet,” has announced that he will no longer be mimicking the founder of Living Faith Church Bishop David Oyedepo.

Barry, who has spent eight several years mimicking Oyedepo, shared this emotional decision with his followers through a video post on social media.

In the video, Barry expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who has supported him over the years.

He said, “My dear friends, family, and those who have worked this journey and part with me, with a sincere heart of gratitude, I want to say a very big thank you to everybody, I mean every single person who has been a supporting system to me as an individual.”

However, with a heavy heart, he announced, “But today, as I stand before you, with a heavy heart, emotions around me right now, to announce what I mean to announce to the general public and the world at large. It’s of great privilege and an honor to be announced to the general public today, that by virtue of privilege, I will no longer, or let me use the word, I will be stepping down from mimicking Bishop David Oyedepo.”

Barry further explained in the video caption, “Today marks the end of an incredible 8-year journey, one filled with passion, purpose, and a deep sense of calling. I’ve had the privilege of sharing joy, laughter, and inspiration through the gift of mimicking Bishop David Oyedepo, a man I hold in the highest regard.”

He emphasized that although he is stepping away from mimicking Bishop Oyedepo, his mission continues. “As I step into a new chapter, I do so with gratitude for every moment, every message, and every person who supported this journey. The name ‘Son of the Prophet’ remains, not just as a reminder of where we’ve been, but as a beacon of where God is leading us next,” Barry wrote.

This announcement sparked a wave of reactions on social media. Some fans expressed their support, while others speculated on the reasons behind his decision.

Instagram user @king_zafe commented, “Africans leaders with their mentality. Why did they ask this guy to stop mimicking him, not that he was doing it in a bad way. Did he feel threatened that he was sharing his shine? 🤦‍♂️”

Another user, @unstoppable_ewenla, joked, “Dem don threaten this one 😂😂😂😂😂😂.”

In contrast, @kemii_a showed support, saying, “Love it for you Barry, can’t wait to see the amazing things you will do from now on. It is definitely going to be skyways from here on, stay blessed.❤️”

Other supportive messages included @djhorphuray, who wrote, “Stay blessed Bro. We love you,” and @cynthiafonge, who added, “😢😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thanks for putting a smile on our faces brother. 😢Looking forward to what comes next 😍❤️.”

Barry assured his followers that his journey isn’t over but is simply evolving. As he steps into this new chapter, many of his fans are eager to see what he will do next. For more details, Barry invited everyone to watch the full video on his YouTube channel.
