Popular singer Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Daniel Anidugbe, has announced a break from releasing new music until 2026.

The artist shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, saying, “After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026.”

This statement comes just weeks before the release of his much-anticipated EP titled Uncle K, set to drop on November 29, 2024.

Kizz Daniel, who rose to fame in 2016 with his hit song Woju, has been a consistent force in the Nigerian music scene, delivering five studio albums and numerous chart-topping singles.

In addition to announcing his break, the singer shared a personal loss, revealing that his wife’s mother recently passed away from breast cancer. He called on his fans, known as the Vaddicts, to keep her in their prayers.

He wrote, “My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts.”

Fans have expressed mixed emotions, with many reflecting on his significant contributions to the music industry while sending messages of support during this difficult time.

As one fan commented online, “We’ll miss the hits, but family comes first. Take all the time you need, Vado!”
