President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday warned that his next four years as president would be tough because he would continue with his three-point agenda of fighting insecurity, corruption and fixing the economy.

The president made this statement while addressing members of the federal executive council (FEC) who came to congratulate him on his victory during the last election.

“My last lap of four years, I think is going to be tough.

“People are very forgetful and that’s why during the campaign, I spoke about our cardinal agenda,” he said.

The president also disclosed that he campaigned in all the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory to prove to his critics that he was fit as a fiddle.

The meeting was attended by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and over 20 ministers.

Buhari had polled 15,191,847 to defeat his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who scored 11,262,978 votes.
