IGP appoints Ajisebutu as Lagos police spokesman, moves Adejobi to Force Headquarters

Following a major shake-up in its hierarchy, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman  Alkali Baba, has approved the posting of Lagos Command spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, to the Public Relations Department of Force Headquarters in Abuja.

To fill the vacuum, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu has taken over as the new spokesman of Lagos command with effect from August 6, 2021.

Ajisebutu was the Second-in-Command, Area E Festac Area Command, Lagos.

He was formerly PPRO Oyo State Police Command from 2015 to 2019 and PPRO Zone 11, Osogbo from 2019 to 2020.

He served as Deputy PPRO, Ogun State, Personal Assistant to Commissioners of Police in Ogun and Personal Assistant to the Leye Oyebade (retd), Deputy Inspector-General, Research and Planning, Leye Oyebade.

Ajisebutu is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

In his remarks, Adejobi thanked IGP Baba and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos Command, the government and the people.

Adejobi appealed to the public and members of the fourth estate to continually support the Police to succeed in the fight against crime and criminality.
