Nigerian singer and reality TV star, Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe a.k.a Laycon, has reached the one million followership mark on Twitter.
Laycon, who won season 5 of the Big Brother Naija: Lockdown (BBNaija) show, was verified on the popular microblogging site in December 2020 with a followership of 768.1K.
As of the time of this report, the ‘Fierce’ singer’s followership has grown massively to a total of 1,000,854.
Recall that Laycon, after winning BBNaija in 2020, earned himself a massive following on Instagram, growing from 4k followers to about 2.6 million. The growth got him a blue tick on the photo and video sharing platform.
Asides from numerous endorsement deals, Laycon started his own reality TV Show, I Am Laycon, which is currently streaming in 26 countries outside Africa, including the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.
The reality series, which premiered on Feb. 10 on Showmax, broke the Nigerian record for the most viewed show on its first day on Showmax two weeks ago.
The rapper’s fanbase, known as Icons, has taken over the bird app with #1millionTwitterIcons and ‘Congratulations Laycon’ the top trending topics with almost 100k tweets.
