Empire Mates Entertainment boss and actor, Banky W, has expressed joy over the scheduled visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Fela’s Afrika Shrine in Lagos State on Tuesday.
The apparently excited music star described Macron’s visit as “absolutely epic and iconic news.”
Banky W further disclosed that he will be the host of the event tagged, “Celebration of African culture”.
In a two-part post on his Instagram page, Banky W wrote,
“In absolutely EPIC and ICONIC news.. the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, will visit Nigeria tomorrow for an event at the SHRINE called “A celebration of African Culture”.
“I feel extremely honoured and blessed to be chosen as the MC for this historic occasion.
“Let’s do this for the Culture, shall we? I’m SO honoured to be anchoring tonight’s historic event, as we #CelebrateAfricanCulture with the President of France, Monsieur @emmanuelmacron, the Governor of Lagos, @akinwunmiambode and many of Africa’s greatest Creators in Music, Movies, Fashion and Art.
“And we are doing it at the SHRINE. This is iconic for too many reasons.”
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to hold bilateral talks with the French President at the presidential villa, Abuja, today at 4.00pm.
Macron is expected to discuss issues bordering on security and terrorism with President Buhari.
