The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company is urging customers in Sango-Ota, Ogun, to settle their debts to ensure the delivery of quality services.
The Lead Media Relation at IBEDC, Mrs. Busolami Tunwase made the appeal during a press briefing on Monday in Ota, Ogun.
Speaking about the outstanding debts, Tunwase highlighted that the Sango/Ota district business owed the company a substantial amount, stating, “We are still appealing to our esteemed customers to urgently pay their bills because what we have gotten is not much, compared to what is still out there.”
Emphasizing the importance of prompt payment, she explained that clearing these outstanding debts would enable the company to enhance and stabilize power supply to the public.
According to Tunwanse, improved payments from customers contribute significantly to the company’s ability to maintain and upgrade its services.
Tunwase also issued a warning to the public, urging them not to assault IBEDC workers while they carry out their duties. She emphasized that those who engage in such actions may face legal consequences.
