Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has openly pledged his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he will continue to stand by the president “through thick and thin.”
In a lengthy post shared on his social media pages, Edochie praised Tinubu’s past role in Nigeria’s fight for democracy and expressed confidence in the president’s ability to lead the country through its current challenges.
“O my leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, you are that man who risked his life, marching on the streets of Nigeria with NADECO members from 1993, asking the military to switch to democracy,” the actor wrote.
He added, “You have fought for democracy for over three decades. And today, you are the President of our great country, Nigeria.”
Edochie acknowledged that Nigeria is going through a rough time but maintained that Tinubu has what it takes to bring positive change.
“I know you have all it takes to turn Nigeria around for better. I know you have good plans for Nigerians. And if there are any huddles stopping those good plans from materializing, I also know that you have the capacity to tackle all those huddles,” he said.
The actor referred to the president as a “master strategist” and declared: “You have my 100% support. I will stand by you in good times and bad times. Through thick and thin, come rain come shine, I will stand by you, Sir. My word is my bond. I believe you will fix Nigeria. I stand by you solidly.”
Edochie has repeatedly showed this support for Tinubu’s government and asked Nigerians to be patient with the president.
While some people praised his loyalty and faith in the president, others criticised him for supporting the government despite the ongoing economic hardship in the country.
However, Edochie has continued to urge Nigerians to remain hopeful and united, saying that perseverance and faith in the country’s leadership are needed at this time.
