Gospel singer, songwriter and televangelist, Dunni Olanrewaju, popularly known as Opelope Anointing, has set a new ambition for herself as she turns 60 in a few days.
According to her, apart from seeing an end of piracy, and gospel singers being more in tune with the Scriptures, she would like to start a music school.
She said,
“I would like to start a music school to groom talents. I also want to rebrand my music in order to cater to the youth.
“I plan to continue preaching the gospel and take my music to all parts of Africa and beyond.”
Speaking on piracy, she said:
“I want an end to piracy. I would like things to go back to the good old days when marketers and artistes had one another’s best interests at heart. Record deals used to be honourable in those days.
“I would also like for the younger artistes to sing songs that are in tune with the gospel.
“There should also be mutual respect between artistes, so no one would unlawfully take another person’s songs.”
Revealing what she would like to change about herself at 60, Olanrewaju said,
“That would be my approach to some situations. I want to begin taking things easy.
“For my birthday, I want to be surrounded with love from the people that matter to me. I plan to celebrate with my family and friends, and also have musicians around to rejoice with me. I will also rededicate myself to Jesus for the remaining days of my life.”
