Award-winning Nigerian actress, filmmaker and entrepreneur, Oloruntimilehin Bosede Bukola, better known as Kiitan Bukola, has revealed the many paths she took to become a homeowner in the ancient city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The 30-year-old screen diva dismissed rumours the house was paid for by a politician, saying she built it with her sweat.
She said,
“I feel so happy because it is a dream that finally came true. I had been praying for it for a long time and I have finally achieved it.
“The house was not given to me by any politician or anybody else for that matter. There were people who supported me but I built it with my sweat.
“I consistently spent whatever money I had (no matter how little) on the building project. I started building the house in November 2019 and it was completed in October 2020.
“I get money from so many places. Apart from being an actress, I am a businesswoman. Also, I spend money prudently. For example, I don’t spend too much on wigs because I love low-cut.
“I am not saying it’s bad to buy wigs; anybody can do that, as long as they can afford it. I don’t have that much money; I just know how to manage the little I have.”
