A well-known skit maker, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, popularly known as Brain Jotter, has opened up about his challenging days as a struggling undergraduate at the University of Lagos before attaining stardom.
In an interview on the Hip TV program “Trending,” hosted by reality star Kim Oprah, Brain Jotter revealed the various odd jobs he took to make ends meet.
During the interview, Brain Jotter reflected on his financial struggles, saying, “2020, my salary was N15,000. In 2021, my salary was N30,000.”
He shared that in his first year at the University of Lagos, he worked in a laundry, earning a modest income. “Apart from working in a laundry, I was also doing other stuff,” he added.
Brain Jotter candidly disclosed his entrepreneurial spirit during his university years, saying, “In my school, I was selling bedbug killer. In my first year, I sold doughnuts in my class. In year two, I sold bedbug killer. And year three, I drove to school.”
Despite his early struggles, Brain Jotter’s journey took a positive turn when his videos went viral, catapulting him to stardom.
Reflecting on his current state, he mentioned, “Ever since my video went viral till now, I can’t just stay five days straight without working. I’ve been restless since hitting stardom, probably except I’m not in Lagos. But even if I’m not in Lagos, I’m still thinking of ideas for content.”
Brain Jotter then shared his dreams from his earlier years, stating, “My dream then was to rent a one-room apartment and become a taxi driver.”
