Nigerian celebrity and song writer Toyin Sokefun-Bello, better known as TY Bello , in a recent interview with Kemi Adetiba, bared her heart as she spoke of the horrifying ordeal she experienced as a child.

TY who is known to be a very private person spilled out things she said she has never disclosed to anyone.  She  said she finally found peace with salvation.

She also said getting pregnant was not easy for her because the children were not coming. She said it took her time to really believe she was infertile.

The very spiritual TY, spoke of  her faith and how her faith made the waiting, bleeding, doubting and fear bearable.

“I was sexually abused as a child and because of this, I felt like there was something ugly about me that made me encounter this. This was not the abuser’s fault, this was me.

“I used to see other girls as flowers and I saw myself as dirty cement, hard and ugly. I never felt beautiful, everything was wrong with me, I was hairy and it was a problem.”Ty said

KING WOMAN:My interview with @kemiadetiba with for #kingwomen .Full link to the interview in my bio ・・・ #repost @kemiadetiba I’ve known TY for YEARS. She is my friend and a huge part of my support system in this industry. She is my also my creative muse (alongside @bezidakula). Talking with TY always uplifts my SOUL. I know she’s human, but I tend to see her as a walking, breathing ball of light. She simply embodies this human form as camouflage. My TY is SUPER private and extremely protective of her family, so I know she did this interview for two main reasons. 1) In the hope that sharing her story would touch, uplift and inspire someone out there that really needs it. 2) Because she TRUSTED me to share her story with all the respect that it deserves. I spent time with the edit of this video because I understood that level of trust she carefully placed in my hands to carry, and it was imperative that I protect that and our friendship with the execution of it. I’ve gotten tons messages from people I don’t even know, sharing how this episode has saved their lives. It’s like it helped them purge and finally face their pain enough to heal. I tell @tybello she talks like she’s writing poetry. You just want to listen and listen and listen to her. You too can listen to her incredible story on the new episode of #KingWomen.
