Former senator who represented Benue North-East, Senator Barnabas Gemade, has reaffirmed his continued involvement in politics, refuting suggestions that he has exited public life.

He made the statement during the burial ceremony of the late Baba Kunde Alabesa, father of the Benue State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Ephraim Kunde.

Gemade described reports suggesting that he had retired from politics as the work of mischief makers bent on spreading falsehoods.

He explained that while his approach to politics has changed over time, his commitment remains intact, noting that his current position as a party elder now focuses on providing advice, counsel, and guidance rather than maintaining a constant public presence.
