American songstress and actress, Demi Lovato, has said she needs time to heal and focus on sobriety and the road to recovery.
Lovato who was hospitalised last month after she suffered a drug overdose released a statement on her Instagram page and thanked everyone who sent their heartfelt get well wishes to her.

Lovato wrote,
“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond.
“I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery.
“The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side.
“I will keep fighting.”
Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that a family member of the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum singer said that some of the information being reported is incorrect.

Meanwhile, Law enforcement sources told TMZ, which was first to report the news, that Lovato, who was found unconscious, was treated with Narcan — a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose — at her home before being transported to a local hospital.
The “sorry not sorry” crooner has been quite open about her drug and alcohol addiction. On June 21st, the songstress released a single, “Sober” wherein she opened up about her addiction problems, hinting she might have broken her six years of sobriety.
