I miss akara with pepper sauce, ex-BBC reporter in Nigeria Stephanie Hegarty says
BBC’s former correspondent in Nigeria Stephanie Hegarty has revealed some of the local foods she misses since she was posted out of the country.
Hegarty, who is now the Global Population Correspondent of the UK-based media conglomerate, was posted back to London for her new role in 2018.
After spending just two years in Nigeria, the journalist seems to have some fond memories about the West African country as her recent social media post reveals she is presently missing some Nigerian cuisines.
She took to Twitter to share some of the foods she has misses.
Hegarty tweeted:
“I miss indomie + fried egg.
“I also miss suya…And akara with peppe sauce
“And Chicken Republic with rice and beans and their very own peppe sauce.”
