American rapper Nicki Minaj has openly expressed her fondness for Nigerian music star Wizkid, sparking excitement among fans of both artists.

During a recent live stream on StationHead, Minaj, often hailed as the ‘Queen of Rap,’ shared her thoughts on the Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid.

Minaj described Wizkid as “a very cool and chill guy,” emphasizing his intelligence and approachable nature. She went on to say, “He’s really that guy, very smart. I have much love and respect for him.”

The rap icon also revealed that her first encounter with Wizkid took place while she was working on her 2018 album ‘Queen’ in a studio in Queens, New York.

Despite longstanding rumors of a potential collaboration between the two artists, no official joint tracks have been released or confirmed to be in production.

Minaj’s public appreciation for Wizkid has reignited fan enthusiasm for a possible collaboration.

Some eager fans have even taken matters into their own hands, creating unofficial remixes featuring both artists.
