The father of the late, fast-rising Nigerian singer Mohbad has revealed that he had a dream about his son’s death two days before it happened.

Speaking to an online blogger, Joseph Ayoba said he saw someone trying to shoot him in his dream, but he escaped the bullet. He said he didn’t think anything of the dream then, but now he believes it was a premonition of his son’s death.

”I had a dream about him, two days before the incident. In the dream, I saw someone trying to shoot me. I thought I escaped the bullet not knowing something like this would happen to me.

When asked what led to his son’s death, he said, “According to what I heard from people, though I don’t believe was that an auxiliary nurse administered him an injection, and that could have led to anything.”

However, there had been several reports claiming that he died of a heart complication as a result of drug use, while others said he died after receiving treatment for an ear infection

Ayoba also described his relationship with Mohbad as more of a friendship than father-to-son. 

 

Mohbad died on Tuesday and was buried in Ikorodu the following day. His death has been mourned by fans and colleagues alike.
