Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has shed light on his recent absence from the public eye, revealing that he took a deliberate step back to focus on his education without distractions.
Appearing on Prime Time, a current affairs programme on Arise Television on Monday, Melaye stated that his decision to remain silent was to safeguard his academic journey, which he believes has now paid off.
“I have been quiet because I was in school. I did not want Nigeria to happen to me. I needed them to let me graduate,” he said.
The former lawmaker disclosed that he has now successfully completed his studies and has been called to the Nigerian Bar.
“I have graduated now, and I have been called to the largest bar in Africa,” he added.
