Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about her past experiences with younger men, stating that dating them was purely for fun and is no longer something she is interested in.
Speaking on the Dear Ife podcast, the 54-year-old actress revealed that while she still receives direct messages from younger men on social media, her priorities have shifted from casual relationships to seeking a meaningful, long-term partnership.
“I can’t date a younger man. There’s no need to. I’ve done it before, but I don’t want to do it again. I think what I want now is different. When I dated the younger man, I was having fun, and it was for a season. That season is over,” Bello said.
She added that although there is nothing wrong with dating younger men, she is now more focused on finding a partner for marriage, though she holds a non-traditional view of what marriage should look like.
Shaffy Bello was previously married to Mr. Akinrimisi, with whom she shares two children. The marriage lasted from 1995 to 2020.
