Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has opened up about his difficult childhood, sharing how he did small jobs like fetching water and cleaning gutters just to survive.
Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, the Super Eagles striker talked about growing up in Lagos and the struggles he faced before becoming a well-known name in football.
Osimhen said he used to fetch water for neighbours for N80, and clean dirty gutters filled with spirogyra for just N30.
“There was a building in front of my house, this kind face-me-I-face-you. I used to fetch water for the people there for N80. Most of the time, I would wash gutters when the green things are coming out,” he recalled.
Osimhen’s story has touched many fans, with social media users praising his journey from the streets of Lagos to the top of international football.
Now one of Nigeria’s top players, Osimhen plays for Napoli in Italy and has earned global recognition for his skills and hard work.
